Michael Buble’s rise to fame
Fans of the silky-smooth voiced Canadian singer Michael Bublé will be pleased to know that we have one of his finest tribute acts, Wayne. If you are unsure if he is the right act for you, let”s tell you a bit more about the man he impersonates. Michael Bublé was born on 9 September 1975 in British Columbia, Canada and his music career really took off in 2000. Michael had self-financed an independent album and when performing at a business party one day, he was spotted by Michael McSweeney, aide to former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. McSweeney was given a copy of his album and showed it to the Prime Minister who asked him to sing at his daughter”s wedding.
This was the break that started everything off for Michael, and after a lot of persistence, he managed to persuade Bruce Allen to sign him. His début album was released on 11 February 2003 under 143 Records/Reprise Records and it was entitled “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?” This album went down very well with music lovers, many buying it to listen to over dinner, in the car or while playing . Michael then appeared on the Today program on 14 February, on NBC television in the United States. He travelled all over the world promoting the album and was already achieving great musical success.
He released his second studio album on 15 February 2005, which reached number one in Canada, Italy and Japan. This was called “It”s Time” and won him four Juno awards. His third album, “Call Me Irresponsible” accomplished something that only the likes of Michael Jackson had previously achieved. It débuted at number two in the United States, before rising to number one in its second week. His fourth album, “Crazy Love” came out early in the United States on 9 October 2009 after he performed the song “Haven”t Met You Yet” on Oprah. This shot to number one in the Billboard 200 chart and was his fastest-selling album yet.
