Joy Ellis is a Jazz pianist and vocalist based in London, England. Since appearing on the scene in 2003 Joy has performed in the UK& Europe, the USA & the Southeast Asia as well as on some of the most beautiful cruise ships in the world such as the Queen Mary 2.
She achieved a masters in Jazz performance at the Guildhall School Of Music & Drama in July 2008. Through the Guildhall she performed with Pete Churchill,Nikki lles, Scott Stroman, Christine Tobin & Martin Speake. Prior to that she studied at Middlesex University learning the piano with Nikki lles, Malcolm Edmonstone & Gareth Williams.
Since then she has travelled the world performing as a solo piano vocalist & with her band Georgetown. Joy has recently turned her hand to composing and was the recent winner of the 2012 BASBWE festival composition contest.
